Mikae Privacy Policy

Mikae is a quiet place to document personal journeys. This policy explains what information the app handles and why.

Account data

When you create an account, Mikae handles your email address and authentication details so you can sign in and recover your account. Passwords are handled by Supabase Authentication and are not stored in Mikae.

Profile data

Your username, display name, bio, private-account setting, and 18+ age-verification status are stored with your profile. Your age-verification status is used to restrict Mikae to adults.

Photos and uploaded content

Photos, journey titles, taglines, notes, dates, progress, and other content you upload are stored so your journeys can be displayed and maintained. You choose what to add to a journey, and you can delete your content from the app.

Supabase services

Mikae uses Supabase Authentication for account access and Supabase Database and Storage for profiles, journeys, uploaded photos, follows, blocks, and reports. Data is sent to Supabase when needed to provide these features and is subject to Supabase's own terms and privacy practices.

Reports and blocks

If you report a creator or journey, Mikae stores the report reason, optional details, the reported account, and the related journey when available. Blocked-account relationships are stored so blocked creators and their journeys can be hidden from your experience.

Retention

Mikae retains account, profile, journey, uploaded-content, report, and block data while it is needed to provide the service, operate moderation, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. Reports may be retained after related content is removed for moderation and safety records.

Deletion

You can delete your account from Settings. Account deletion permanently removes your profile, journeys, and uploaded photos from Mikae's active data. Some information, such as moderation records, may be retained when required for safety, fraud prevention, or legal obligations.

Third-party services

Mikae currently relies on Supabase for authentication, database, and file storage. Apple provides the operating-system services used by the app, such as the photo picker and device notifications where applicable. Mikae does not sell your personal information or use third-party advertising trackers.

Privacy questions can be raised through the support channel provided with your Mikae account or distribution listing.
